Don't get too excited. It was an MVS multi-cab at D-Pad in New Braunfels but it wasn't the actual MVS cart. It was one of those 100's of games in one carts.
Still, at .25 a play I couldn't complain too much.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Wow! That must be very hard on the GDrom drive.d123456 wrote:Thanks for pointing that out!the7k wrote:Garou: Mark of the Wolves has always suffered from sound lag on the Dreamcast. The only way to fix this is to download the version that was fixed by TuxTheWise.
I believe it has to do with the sounds being read from cd during gameplay.

Damn, forgot about this thread.
I got the JP Dreamcast version of MotW. No sound lag that I can tell. The drive doesn't go as nuts as it does while playing the US version. General loading times are slightly quicker, as well.

The "D-Pad".....what is your opinion on the place? I couldn't find too much information on the web about it. It does have a MySpace page with photos that make it seem like predominantly a hang-out for teenagers.Flake wrote:It was an MVS multi-cab at D-Pad in New Braunfels but it wasn't the actual MVS cart.

I hate it. The merchandise is dirty, the employees don't do anything to dissuade kids from hanging out and making browsing a pain in the ass. Most everything I've bought there ended up being returned.
Also, they are terribly over priced. They have, for instance, a copy of Tactics Ogre for the GBA priced at $53 ... wtf!? That's either sloppy price research or incompetence.
Avoid.

After a 5 hour non-stop MotW session with my friends my GD-rom drive died. I got a new DC and I won't be playing MotW until I get Tux's version.wip3outguy7 wrote:Wow! Odd. I played for a good 2 hours the other night and my DC is still plenty happy *knocks on wood*. I played the very same disc for about 4 hours the day it arrived in the mail. We played on a black sports DC with a failing GD-Rom drive at Thanksgaming and it never skipped a beat.
Again, this is the Japanese version. I have never witnessed any sound lag with this import version and the only disc access I can hear is at the end of the round when the system begins loading in the win/loose screen along with the next fight.

Coincidentally, ever since we played on that DC this weekend I've had no problems with it. Garou does miracles.
