That Henry movie was pure disgusting evil Ack. It really brought out how heartless and ugly humankind can be. I don't even know if I could watch it again, and I love horror.

He did say he was willing to put up with all the crappy sequels, so I figured a few crappy remakes would be ok in his book.

I hate re-makes, usually. Only exception I can think of is House on Haunted Hill. But I love franchises- usually I prefer sequels to the originals (Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and 6, Jason Goes to Hell, Halloween II, Scream 3)

It's actually in my Netflix queue. I've never seen it, but I've wanted to ever since I first saw trailers for it years ago.

Oh, I got it. I just didn't want to say anything. I remember when I read that list thinking "Dear God, aaron wants to kill him!"

Oh, and while we're at it, if you like really REALLY low budget schlock, I'm a fan of these two:

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter
There's Nothing Out There

And when I say low budget, I mean these films were done for somewhere along the lines of $20. The lead actor's dentist composed the music for Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter for Christ's sake. It's worth it for the ridiculous Atheist clown car and Santos, Jesus' Luchador friend.

And in There's Nothing Out There, the monster's literally made out of papier-mache, but it makes up for it with a recurring rake gag, and the one character who knows he's in a horror film steals the show. He literally escapes the monster by jumping up and swinging off the boom mike in one scene.

You mentioned you like Veronica Mars. For some reason a lot of people who love that show love Buffy too. And if you like horror, Supernatural might be a show you'd enjoy. I'm really loving it right now. It's one of those shows that seems to get stronger with each season and it goes through just about every horror movie cliche, ghost story, urban legend, etc. you can think of. Hell, one episode even pokes fun at those ghost hunting shows on the Sci Fi channel. Supernatural is like a celebration of every occult thing there is out there

Buffy is full of monsters, vampires, demons, etc. too

ravenous is a great movie. i haven't seen that one in years. need to re-visit it.
