It could be done right. The mixing of real actors and animated characters has been done correctly in the past,ej Who Framed Roger Rabbit. But with the modern slue of crappy movies like this,ej Alvin and the Chipmunks and Waterhorse, well I have mixed feelings

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is the only time this has or will ever work out. I'm waiting to be proved wrong still though.

I've watched a little of the 3 Astroboy series and all of them bored me. However, the GBA game was fantastic, and it told the story at a super fast pace, although sloppily, and I found myself kind of intrigued by the tale, especially at the end. I'm not sure how much of the story is canon with any of the series, especially the original series, but I assume most of it is in sync with the 2nd series, which I heard is where they brought in a more serious tone. So I think I'd give this movie a shot. The filming concept behind it sounds like the Battle Angel movie that is still supposedly in the works by James Cameron. I can't stress this enough; Battle Angel Alita (GUNNM) has one of the greatest stories ever.

I only know about the story what I just read on Wikipedia and it seems like old ground, regardless of who did it first. This picture looks neat but I'm guessing this is going to be like the recent TMNT, who put out a fully adult teaser online for a fully children's movie. This is apparently a screenshot, it doesn't look like any live action is here. Where is that stated?
