Lunar Silver Star Story (whats the best version to play?)

Post by christoph »

It seems like there are rehashs, remakes, same ones on different consoles...

Is Lunar Silver Star Story: Complete for PS1 the best one to play?

I noticed there were ones on Sega CD and Saturn

The best version of Lunar 1 IMHO is the PSP version "Lunar: Silver Star Harmony", this have better graphics, better battle mode and exclusive extra contents that any other version have, like a new introduction to the story.

Anyways, the PSone version is good too.

If you're a purist, play the Sega CD version (it came first). If you want the best experience, play the PS1 version. The changes they made are numerous and really enhanced the game.

The PSP remake, I haven't finished yet, but not sure the changes are for the better. I still prefer the PS1 version overall.

The best version is the PS1 version, but Silver Star Harmony for PSP is a close, close second.

I like the ps1 version best. No free roaming world map on the PSP made me very sad :(

Stick with the sega cd version if you can, but the ps1 is the best second choice. Something about the psp version is slightly off to me...

Do what I did:
Get all three. :)

If not, Sega CD to experience the original but PS1 for the "best" (it's an awesome game either way). I haven't played the PSP version yet but it's definitely the cheapest if you're not willing to shell out $60+ for the other two versions.
Also the PSP version is easier to find in a store.

This game, along with Cast:SotN and Suidoken II, are the among few games that I hate myself for not getting during the PSX run.

I have the PSP version only, so I don't know what to expect or to compare.
