the reason you can't be any mega mans is because the shoot and jump buttons in the gamecube version are reversed.GamerMON wrote: I have only beat MM2 for gameboy. And I still I have the anniversary collection for gcn

It just takes some getting used to, but it's still not perfect.final fight cd wrote:the reason you can't be any mega mans is because the shoot and jump buttons in the gamecube version are reversed.GamerMON wrote: I have only beat MM2 for gameboy. The bigger problem that stems from that is y is turbo fire. I would generally use that one, so I'd have one side of my finger rested on the y button and the other side resting on the b button. VERY awkward. If they would have made the A button jump, it would work excellently with the B button AND the Y button. What were they thinking?!

I keep buying megaman games too and have yet to beat any of them. I have megaman X collection for gamecube (everything after X3 pretty much sucks) and 1-6 for PS2. I was making decent progress in one of the nes ones until I realized it was on easy mode. Which is just lame. So I turned it back to normal mode. And made substantially less progress. I'll beat one some day. . .

The important thing is that 9 looks much more polished than 10.
But 10 has Solar Man's theme.

It is. Mega Man 10 has many little things that make the game less enjoyable.jfrost wrote:The important thing is that 9 looks much more polished than 10.

Re: Mega Man 9 is Harder than Mega Man 10
I spent the better part of the day trying to beat Mega Man 9. I made it to the second stage in Wily's Castle before getting a game over, and I went in there with six lives. I lost them all at the same spot to some insta-kill spikes of doom. Unfortunately, the game is going to make me power through Wily's Fortress in one sitting as there is no break between levels there. I might give it another shot later, but I think I'm calling it a night for now. Mega Man 10 is on deck though, I'll be back with thoughts on how they compare.

Re: Mega Man 9 is Harder than Mega Man 10
I think Megaman 9 and 10 aren't really that hard. Then again, I use a complex method of getting the most out of both games.
I play them both on the Wii. I have a Mayflash NES and SNES adapter. I modified my adapter with a real NES 7-pin port so I can use real NES controllers on the Wii.
Then, I took my Hudson turbo controller and modified it's DB-15 cord and replaced it with an NES 7-pin.
Effectively, I'm using a Japanese Famicom turbo controller to play a North American Wii game. If that's not "WTFHAX" I don't know what is.

Wow, I'm looking at the Mega Man 10 boxart and it's like they couldn't decide is Mega Man's sidekick should look like Proto Man or Zero
Speaking of Zero, I think anyone who says anything after MMX 3 was bad is crazy. Mega Man X 4 is my favorite of the series, all because of playable Zero and he made me enjoy MMX 5 too. I'll take a badass looking robot with cape-like hair and a FREAKING LIGHT SABRE over Mega Man X and his pea shooter any day. Everything after MMX 5 was hit and miss though

Did you play Mega Man Zero or ZX or whatever? They always looked good, but I never tried them out... I think one series was for the GBA and the other was on the DS. I know Zero was the main character in those. He looked odd to me though.Gamerforlife wrote:Wow, I'm looking at the Mega Man 10 boxart and it's like they couldn't decide is Mega Man's sidekick should look like Proto Man or Zero
