Favorite SNK Fighting Series?

I grew up with Street Fighter myself but I have become enamored with SNK's fighting games in the last few years, mostly thanks to the Wii and SNK's arcade compilations.

So what do you guys think of SNK's various fighting series? Which ones are the best?

I always was a street fighter myself as well, but I find King of fighters 99 on Dreamcast to be a blast to play after playing some Alpha 3. I agree that the Snk compilations are fun to play on the Wii;)

I think the problem with the other games you have listed is they stopped being developed such a long time ago, its unfair to compare.

The lack of Last Blade on the list is inexcusable.

I love SNK since KoF'97, that I played non-stop at launch at the arcades. Ever since, I always looked around to see what was available for me to play.

Since I was a PlayStation kid, I missed out on the better ports of arcade games, but I did become addicted to Real Bout Special: Dominated Mind. Loved performing Final Impacts (super cancels).

Anyway, KoF is my favorite for the variety in gameplay, Last Blade comes second. Comboing on Speed mode is so satisfying.

I checked and it seems Last Blade was made for the Neo Geo but not by SNK. Was I mistaken?

Yes, it was developed by SNK. Maybe you have World Heroes in mind?

Fatal Fury

More specifically "Mark of the wolves" all the other ones suck I actually hate all the other SNK fighter except for "Last blade 2" I liked Samurai showdown but I hate how it never progressed fuckin SEN for shame

Fatal Fury just because and only because of Garou.

KOF is my favourite because it is the one I play the most.
Fatal Fury comes close second though, I enjoy the original and I think Garou is an A Tier fighting game.
