for the past week, maybe two, i have been getting pwned and i have been getting owned by shmups. mainly, galactic attack with a side of darius gaiden. after many failures, i decided i should take a break and play something more relaxing - bust-a-move-2! if anybody has played snood, you have played bust-a-move. likewise, if anybody has played bust-a-move, you have played snood. they are pretty much the same game.

however, there was one thing i liked about snood that wasn't in bust-a-move. if i remember correctly, in snood if you were to indirectly eliminate boxes - that is, connecting three like boxes would not only eliminate said boxes, but also eliminate the boxes connected below them - you would get an extra turn before the ceiling dropped. in bust-a-move, the ceiling will always drop after so many turns, no matter what.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Beetlejuice new! NES
Ikari Warriors new! NES

I asked my wife to pick out a NES game or two for me, low and behold she choose these two. Beetlejuice is pretty awful for the first half hour or so, but then it gets to be a little fun. But that is it, just a little.

Ikari warriors is fun the entire game, but it's a really short game. I must have either played it in the arcade or on the sms as a kid, because I remember the graphics being way better.

I've got today off (hallelujah!) so I plan on either playing X-Men on the Genesis, or Other M on the wii. Although Other M will take a lot longer to complete, I'm leaning toward it.

Only on the harder difficulties. DMC4 is much easier than 1 and 3 though, I had no problem beating that on Dante must die, but when I play DMC3 on Dante must die, the second mission is already super hard. I've been feeling like playing some DMC, so I will probably try to finish the very hard and dante must die modes on DMC3.

Started this awhile ago and stopped playing on the second last level, as part of my 'lets try to finish all my games I started before starting a new one" I finished it off this morning. I didnt mind the game, but felt it was fairly repetitive in nature.

Espgaluda was a blast, and I actually enjoyed it a bit more than DoDonpachi on the iPhone. I'm still amazed at how well Cave shooters control on the platform.

Metroid: Zero Mission really exceeded my expectations. Got me excited for the Metroid franchise again. I'm actually going to start playing Super Metroid tonight, which I have actually never beat before.
