it's better to bump old threads then start a new one about the same topic. why dismiss useful information others have given just because they didn't say it yesterday?

Well personally for me, some recent modifications to my Wii had me looking up A LOT of info and most answers I found were old posts on forums that I'm not even a member ofpepharytheworm wrote:Example of useful info please.EllertMichael wrote:there's nothing wrong with answering questions that are years old. I think he was asking for examples within BradTemple87's posts that a googler would find useful.EllertMichael wrote:pepharytheworm wrote:EllertMichael wrote: Well personally for me, some recent modifications to my Wii had me looking up A LOT of info and most answers I found were old posts on forums that I'm not even a member of
Also, I do the same thing.

There are other people here that posted way too much when they joined in order to get their post count high. They eventually settled down after a couple months and a couple thousand post. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Nothing wrong in posting in old threads, just blitzing can be a little annoying to some. Have fun searching and answering questions, but also take your time and enjoy the site. To be honest there is a lot of good info in old threads and is worthy of being bumped. From what you have typed I can see you are a big Xenogears fan, haven't played mine yet because I have quite a large backlog.

I just got annoyed because I got on here to check on some threads I'd been following and everything had been pushed off the first page by old stuff. . . old stuff which had been pushed back because the majority of members had run out of things to say on the topic.
Anyway, let's all give bradtemple a nice, big, andy's room welcome.

but Mod Man has plenty of useful information, and I still think answering old questions should be encouraged. it doesn't just help that one person at that moment in time but many others in the future

Took care of that, and I do love that game. I was just sad that the production got cut on the 2nd disc like most of the people who played it. Enjoy the game, the battle system is excellent. The story can get pretty long winded though.
