i was wondering as any one got any addresses of these shops and roughly where they are im staying in ikebukuro and dont mind getting a train and walking if needed.
any help would be appreciated thanks
Just get on the Yamanote line in Ikebukuro. It's basically a circle line that goes around the central core of Tokyo. Ikebukuro is in the NW side. Akihabara is on the east side. Metro lines are probably quicker, but taking the Yamanote line is very easy.xybots wrote:hi everyone im new to this forum but i am going to tokyo this oct, and i am hoping to go to some of these retro's stores they amaze me that ive seen on this site, ive been to akihabara before and super potato amazed me big time.

Thank you for posting this.aaron wrote:do you idiots realize this shit was posted like 9 months ago? hashirya has moved back to the states since then, i sincerely doubt he even has any ebay auctions right now, this is a moot point. enjoy the pictures or shut the fuck up.
sorry for the rant, i'm sure i'll get a warning for being so inappropriate, but this guy takes a bunch of awesome pictures of awesome shit in an awesome country and everyone is throwing him shit about censoring prices. who cares? remember when he posted the pictures of the giant gundam? this is like bitching that he didn't get a picture of it from a specific perspective or something.

Ebay isn't so big in Japan. Yahoo Auctions is the place to go. You pretty much need to at least be able to speak Japanese to deal with anyone on it, though... or at least find a proxy to use ($).myktek wrote:that is awesome...
I wonder if some of the good stores have ebay accounts? That would be nice to know since I buy on ebay alot.

What exactly are you looking for? Basically EVERYTHING game related you can find in Akihabara if you're in Tokyo. Sure, you can make a an hour or a few hours trip by train, probably a 30 minute walk, thereby wasting a half day or a whole day of precious time in Japan searching for a game shop in Kanto that offers basically the very same thing that you'd find in Akihabara.xybots wrote:hi guys i have been to akihabara and ive visited super potato but i want to go further afield to some of the other gamming stores out side tokyo, thats i why i need details of where they are so i can visit them.
thanks
