Beer and Ebay / Amazon appreciation thread.

Post by Flake »

Inspired by a recent (ten minutes ago) inebriated assault on my bank account and amazon.com's retro gaming wares, it occurred to me that maybe I'm not the only one with this problem:

Have you ever had a bit to drink and ended up with awesome reasons why you should have that internet-shoppable item you just ordered?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I managed to buy a Sega Genesis model 2 from the last Racketboy charity auction without realizing it. That was a busy couple of months for my liver.

This is funny and so true. Sometimes that stiff drinks makes you brave and stupid to buy that gotta have item. Bought stuff a couple of times that way, happy to get but didn't really have to spend that much

Well I did get that Blaze Twin Shock this way.
Bid .... Damn ..... Bid ....... Damn ........ Bid.
Won! .... massive panic.

Voted - Life is ruined.

The only drunk purchase I ever made was for a CD, it was alright. I feel it is a good idea to not buy stuff drunk haha.

No way. It's that moment when you get transferred to paypal that you breathe in deeply, you feel your vision clear, and that cold sweat breaks out.

You still click 'pay now' but you don't like yourself much at that moment.

Last week, I was greeted by the mailman and a package. (heh heh.. ahem!) I opened it up and saw two different colored Bible Adventure carts for the NES. Apparently Captain Morgan and I wanted to rock out with Noah and Baby Moses.. *sigh*

My only experience like yours is buying a copy of Joe Montana 2 Sports Talk Football because I had to have it/I couldn't find it that night.

Yup. Found it the next morning. Still paid the whopping $.50 for it though.
