Youtube has to have the worst community ever. You can't go five minutes anywhere on youtube without seeing racist or bigot terms on there. Why are they all such assholes, and why do they make stuff like this.

My suggestion is to stay away from some of the more popular Youtubers. Certain ones at least. The ones I'm talking about are the ones that just whore out Youtube to get money. They don't put out as much quality as they should be for how many subs they have. They're only big because YT featured them so YT can get money. Now that there's the partnership program, certain partners use false thumbnails and titles to get people to watch their video and they get paid for it!

Stay away from these people:
Ray William Johnson
SXEPhil
Shane Dawson
iJustine
and others.

Also, watch TheArchfiend's videos. They explain this pretty well.

I don't understand the hate, If you don't like the videos then don't watch them. Personally I happen to like RWJ and SXEPhil. Although I do agree that many Youtubers are just there to make a profit, I don't mind that if they put out consistent content. I feel the same way about this as I do Soap Operas, they put out a constant stream of crap but there is a audience for that crap so they continue to make money. If you're not part of that audience then don't help them make money.

I use youtube to watch old thrash videos and shit like that. I almost never watch any user created content.

There are some great retro gaming channels out there, I love watching TV and Lust as well as finngamer, both have very good original content.

Its a service for hosting videos, of course people are going to upload utter shit, I use it because its a fast, easy and free way to host videos.

You have the shovel through the shit to find some little bits of gold.

It's not the quality of the videos necessarily, it's the tactics they use to promote them that I don't like.

When I see a video with a false thumbnail and false title, I get mad. Titles and thumbnails are there for a reason, to tell you what you are going to watch.
