Of course not! But it's always fun to pick on the TG16. That system could have really been something if NEC / Hudson would have had a clue how to market it...or Nintendo hadn't had such a draconian grip on the industry. Good system for shooters.GSZX1337 wrote:Do we really have to be so nitpicky when we say "16-bit console"?
Austin, TX meet up thread
Re: Austin, TX Racketboy members' meet Jan/Feb/Mar (tentative)
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm from Austin (well, Cedar Park) but I might be up for something like this. A friend told me about the other meet up. I'm not very regular here so I missed that huge thread about it.
Oh well, looks like I need to keep up to date here, lol.

Destructoid's NARP meet the day after ours.
Judging by the pictures, I'm going to say we did it better. We certainly had at least 94% more Guardian Heroes and 16 times as much Ghost in the Shell: SAC.
We're also a better looking bunch of people.

Does the NeoGeo count as a 16bit console? It was also marketed as a 24 bit instead of 16bit but it was basically a 16bit machine.

Only 16X more Ghost In The Shell? It felt like more than that.Flake wrote: Judging by the pictures, I'm going to say we did it better. We certainly had at least 94% more Guardian Heroes and 16 times as much Ghost in the Shell: SAC.
This SNES vs. Genesis war is becoming Racketboy vs. Destructoid. Although, with all the Scott Pilgrim love in both camps, you wonder if we could have found a common ground...
I voted 16 bit Wars. Nintendo versus Sega.......we need to settle this once and for all.

Did anyone from our group end up going to the DToid meet? I was too tired to go.

I voted Dreamcast. Because it really is all you need.

Yes, me. I posted about it in the other Austin, TX thread yesterday. And then Flake transferred the link to this thread.wip3outguy7 wrote:Did anyone from our group end up going to the DToid meet? I was too tired to go.

Well cool! Next time they hold something, I'll make sure to attend.
