Ok, I have my Saturn, Dreamcast, PS3 and Gamecube all hooked up to my 42" Plasma. The PS3 is HDMI, the Saturn and Gamecube are AV and the Dreamcast is RF (for now). The problem is the Gamecube screen is cut off around the edges since it's too big (the Dreamcast did the same thing until I changed that. I want to hook up everything and have the picture be right and look clean. I have these output on the TV: 2 Component, 1 HDMI, 2 AV and 2 S-Video.
My guess is I need component for the Gamecube and Dreamcast and S-Video for the Saturn for everything to work properly. Any advice?

Indeed, get the component cable. It´s expensive, but there is no alternative to better quality picture. 480p!
I would then get s-video for both Saturn and DC.
Shame your tv does not have a VGA input or else you could´ve gotten the vga box for your DC.
Shame you do not live in Europe as then you could´ve gotten a RGB cable for your Saturn and enjoy a crisp picture.
A lesson to tv buyers out there. First check about connectivity. Don´t just check what you got at the moment. Check what the best picture Quality is you can get out of your systems. then find a tv that can handle those signals. get the the tv and cables on the preferably same day and test. If you are not hapy with the result. you can bring your tv back. and look for a better tv.
Also check avforums before buyng a tv for known issues.

Make sure your TV isn't using overscan. On my Panny plasma, it's called "Size 1" and "Size 2" i think.

OK, so S-Video for Saturn and DC and component for GC. Yeah, my TV was given to me so I wouldn't have knowingly bought it without VGA and no extra HDMI ports. I can't seem to find Component cables for the GC for less than $50 though
What about S-video for the GC?
And how do I check for overscan?

Look in the setup menu and/or download the manual.Onyxthecat wrote:

S-Video not as good as Component, but better then Composite.Onyxthecat wrote:OK, so S-Video for Saturn and DC and component for GC. Anyone notice S-Video is harder to find on new HDTVs?
Maybe you can change the widescreen and zoom settings in your HD.
Check widescreen setting in the Gamecube.

Yep, unless you're really lucky that's about what it will cost to get one. Limited US release so most will be Japanese cables. Though you need to make sure you actually have the digital out on your GC if you consider them at all.Onyxthecat wrote:I can't seem to find Component cables for the GC for less than $50 though![]()

I do have the digital out on my GC so I'm happy.

Now you gonna have to get that pricey Component cable.Onyxthecat wrote:I do have the digital out on my GC so I'm happy.
Maybe get lucky, This mislabel is usually S-Video cable or Wii component.
But you never know, just don't call, go to the store in person:
