Earlier, I voted for oranges, because Red Delicious' are pretty terrible. However, I really would eat a Macoun over just about any orange variety I have sampled.
I'm partial to Braeburn and Pink Lady myself.
Yeah, red delicious are cheap crap, and I've had so many Braeburn and Fujis I can't even taste them any more. I've always liked Ginger Snaps, might be because we had trees that grew them in my neighborhood as a kid and as such they're kind of nostalgic for me. Never tried a Pink Lady, however.

I also never thought I'd see produce talk on the internet (or in any regular conversation), though.

I like Red Delicious Apples. :? If I had to pick a 'favorite', I'd pick the Gala.

I agree that pink lady's are great, but don't bash on red delicious apples (unless they're mass marketed). Don't care for soft apples like Gala, unless I'm cooking with them.

A 1/4 cup of grated gala apples with a 1/4 cup of grated red potato, cooked down together with a little yellow onion will make canned sauer kraut taste amazing.
