Are the Dreamcast and PS2 Headhunter games the same?
Should I save some $$ and simply buy the PS2 version instead of trying to track down a more pricey Dreamcast version?

Where did you get that logic? Have you played any DC-to-PS2 ports? Most of them are downgraded, but in some cases they are superior, like Rez. But none of them are identical. Dead or Alive 2 is pretty close though. Other games that hit both platforms sometimes weren't ports at all, but rather fresh starts, like Half-Life.NebachadnezzaR wrote:Haven't played the PS2 version yet, but as far as I know it's a straight port so both versions should be virtually identical.

Wasn't the framerate in Rez on the PS2 lowered? As Far as I know Headhunter is exactly the same on all consoles.Mozgus wrote:Where did you get that logic? Have you played any DC-to-PS2 ports? Nope, it was 30fps on DC and 60fps on PS2. Try them both if you don't believe me. Rez feels so much better on PS2. However recently I'm starting to hear a very slight difference in the music sequencing. It kind of sounds a little worse on PS2. Not in terms of quality, but it's as if the sequencing engine is missing some kind of subtle filter or crossfader or something.dudex77 wrote:Wasn't the framerate in Rez on the PS2 lowered? Enjoyed Head Hunter on the DC. Would love to know if it runs better on the PS2 or not.
