oh wow. September already.

Even though Urban Strike is the focus, I'd encourage people to play any/all of the Strike games this month.

Man oh man, I haven't touched one of those games in ages. I think my last one was Jungle Strike on the Genesis. Not sure how that one rated in the series, but I could never get it down.
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

They're all pretty similar, though I haven't played Soviet or Nuclear Strike. I had all 3 on Genesis, so that's what I'll be playing. A couple things I enjoyed about them are the Washington DC level in Jungle Strike, and the rocking title music in all of them.

Now that I think of it, I don't think I ever beat any of these games. Got pretty far in each of them on several occasions, but didn't stick it out to the end. I'll see what I can do this time.

Hatta, I have the same problem. I might actually buy them all on the Genesis, since that is where I first played them. Well that and because I have the Saturn ones...

I'm in. I'll start playing Urban Strike right now.

I have Desert Strike for GEN, Jungle Strike for SNES, Soviet Strike for PS1, and Nuclear Strike for the PS1 -- my favorite. I think the series got better over time. I remember that when I beat Nuclear Strike, there was a preview for Future Strike. I was psyched! I waited with bated breath for Future Strike, but the day never came. It wasn't until this year I found out that Future Strike had been "re-worked" into Future Cop. I've thought about playing Future Cop, but I don't think it would live up to my expectations.

I'm bidding on a copy of Urban Strike right now. In the meantime I'm firing up Kega!

I'm gonna be playing Urban Strike on Game Boy (of course) and also I'll be emulating the SNES version so I can sort of compare/contrast.

Future Cop: LAPD is considered a hidden gem on the PS1, so I encourage everyone to play it sometime. It's pretty bad ass. Lots of explosions! Check out the comment section on the video below. The reviewer is kind of dull, but the commentors are very enthusiastic about the game.

As for Together Retro, I'll be participating this time, but I need to go to the game store and dig around for a copy.
