Here's my cat, his name is Vern and he's incredibly lazy. Such an awesome cat. He's pretty large now, approaching 16 pounds. Still thinks he's a kitten and loves t be cradled.

I found him at a job site all skinny and he had that awful kitty cough, kind of like bronchitis. So I took him home and got him back in shape then took him to the vet to get his balls chopped off.

My cats are all dead, but a friend of mine "just" got a new foal. Well within the last six months...Please forgive the quality of the image, it was past magic hour and I could not use a flash.

last but not least: Sötis (literally translates to "Cutie" )

he was a cat, who ran away from his previous owner multiple times, since she treated him very badly

he's been living with the rest of us for about 7 months now and is finally (today) castrated, insured, etc.

Wow, chief, Sötis is pretty close to the spitting image of our older cat, Dante, though Dante has a little more white around the face. If I had pictures of either him or Virgil, I'd post them.

My brother's budgie was a short tempered little critter who was always desperate for attention. Budgies are not to be underestimated... he was one frightful guy. He was also very jealous. When he saw me feeding little Vincey (cat) treats he jumped onto the bed and trodded over, stopping everytime Vincey turned to look, ran over and chewed on Vincey's tail - Vincey cried out and made a swipe, Beauts (budgie) flew back to his cage. Vincey was weary of Beauts after that and wouldn't turn his back on him. Beauts kept having to stop because Vincey was keeping an eye on him, so Beauts got impatient, ran over, jumped onto Vincey's chest and started pecking at his face like a madman.
Seriously guys and girls, the guy was a friggin psycho. He really was.

He often teased the cats. He'd run over, peck at their feet then quickly run away before doing it again. Sometimes he'd try his luck and peck at their nose.
He constantly hassled Vincey when he was resting - often jumping on his head and pecking at or chewing his ears.
Eventually Vincey became incredibly tolerant of this and Beauts clearly appreciated it because he became enamoured with him. Groomed him constantly. Good thing too 'cus it kept him out of me and my brother's way - he was an abusive budgie.

Man that bird is a nut case! Great story! Good that Cat and Budgie worked out their differences.
So why is Vincey sitting inside the bird cage? A grooming session perhaps?

He just walked in there while Beauts was out of it. Beauts wasn't happy about that at first... after he pecked Vincey's nose once or twice Vincey huddled up in the corner where Beauts couldn't get to him. =-p

Funny thing is that for a long time Beauts wouldn't come out of his cage or let anyone take him out. He often got angry when there was noise or somebody was speaking over him. Me and my brother would make jokes about him and joked that he knew exactly what we were saying and one day he'd get out of that cage and take revenge.
... he sure did.

There was a hilarious moment when my brother had just woken up and quietly called my name, I looked over and saw Beauts was staring down at his face while he slept.

on another note....seeing this makes me really want a cat...i would name him the chief. being in college, i can't and it doesn't help that my mom is allergic to pet dandruff. T_T
