movie buffs please help

Hello,

My friend told me about this movie that I can't identify but i will say what I know.

Its a movie after the 70's , probably after the 80's too. but its not recent so I say between 1980 to 2005.

Its about some lawyers on a case, there must be at least 3 or more actors, i believe the movie has the actors' faces on the poster,
the movie cast are probably movie stars, jack nickelson is likely to be in that movie
the movie is not obscure, its pretty well known, it might be considered one of the classic movies

classic as in great story and film, not as in antique black and white movie.

I am sorry thats about all I know.
the only additional thing I can say is that I got a hunch that its early 90's movie but I can be very wrong
can you help me figure it out?
