I'll post one of him and Lizzy together later.
How could we forget Piece and his sphincter eye. Poor little guy.

And no pets here!

PET should be in the Thread title for easy search, i just didn't search back far enough.

Did anyone guess what brand game carts are in that Darkened shelf in the OP?
Another hint, the color is the giveaway.

Meanwhile any other interesting Pet stories?
Oh man no worries, I am happy there are multiple pet fanatics on the site. I made that original thread when I was still pretty new before I knew certain obvious things like putting the subject of the thread into the subject line :). As for interesting pet stories, my pit mix jumped off a roof once. Our apartment complex is on a hill, so our building has a lawn in front of it with the roof of the parking garage parallel to it. So you can go on the roof of the parking garage from our lawn, not sure if that makes sense. Our dog ran down the lawn, jumped on the roof, jumped off the roof to the street 10 feet below. Luckily she's got pit in her and pretty much just bounced, only spraining her leg.

Only other interesting tidbit is that our one cat wears a diaper. He has a back end issue, partial paralysis. Luckily he can walk fine, but he doesn't have much sensation down there - if you step on his tail he doesn't notice, I actually shut his tail in the dishwasher once and he didn't notice. Anyhoo, he loses control of his bladder while he sleeps and leaks. Cat in a diaper. Yup.

I have lots of pets....5 to be exact, 4 cats and a rabbit.

I love all these cat pictures. Why must the freaking things shed, need litter, food, water, and love?

Guess I'm stuck with my pair of Sega Dream hamsters.

I have a cat named Calpurnia, I'll have to get a pick up. She is 5 years old now I guess. She is all black and pretty small...she looks like the Simpsons cat. After me and my wife made it out of the Super Dome after Katrina 5 years ago we went to Miami. Calpurnia was found under a resturant in Naples after Wilma. Her mom and all her siblings died except for her and she was only a couple weeks old. So we are all hurricane survivors here. :D

Hehe, I used to have a cat that stole cigarettes. She'd snatch them from open packets.
Imagine my surprise when I suddenly saw her walk through the living room with a cigarette in her mouth...
slowslow325 wrote:He made the strangest noise I've ever heard come out of a cat. He was growling! I never knew housecats could do that. Since then, we've gotten Snickers, and I've never heard him growl. Maybe only certain breeds can growl?
Cats often growl when they think their food might be taken away.

My brother's budgie was a short tempered little critter who was always desperate for attention. Budgies are not to be underestimated... he was one frightful guy. He was also very jealous. When he saw me feeding little Vincey (cat) treats he jumped onto the bed and trodded over, stopping everytime Vincey turned to look, ran over and chewed on Vincey's tail - Vincey cried out and made a swipe, Beauts (budgie) flew back to his cage. Vincey was weary of Beauts after that and wouldn't turn his back on him. Beauts kept having to stop because Vincey was keeping an eye on him, so Beauts got impatient, ran over, jumped onto Vincey's chest and started pecking at his face like a madman.
Seriously guys and girls, the guy was a friggin psycho. He really was.

He often teased the cats. He'd run over, peck at their feet then quickly run away before doing it again. Sometimes he'd try his luck and peck at their nose.
He constantly hassled Vincey when he was resting - often jumping on his head and pecking at or chewing his ears.
Eventually Vincey became incredibly tolerant of this and Beauts clearly appreciated it because he became enamoured with him. Groomed him constantly. Good thing too 'cus it kept him out of me and my brother's way - he was an abusive budgie.

I used to have an incredibly hyper kitty called Leia. She used to jump up and stab me in the thigh just because.
I always sensed when she was down there, gazing with her big black eyes... she'd wait until I look down into her eyes until she did it. For whatever reason I always found myself looking down and I'd see those big pupils and before I could say no she'd jump up, stab me in the thigh then run off. It friggin hurt.
She was an awesome and friendly cat otherwise, though. Just very hyper.

Used to have rabbits. They lived in a big hut attached to the shed, with a ramp that leads outside into an area with wire around it so they couldn't escape. In that area was a little rabbit hut. The biggest of the lot, Nibbles, who was a beastly guy, was able to dig a hole into next door, biting through the wire underneath the ground... and concealing it by moving the hut over it.

first off:

Ziko (to the left) and Shadow (to the right)

Shadow is no longer amongst us, but Ziko is healthy and well

Ziko & Shadow came from a friend to the family and are your "regular" house-cats

next:

Iza, queen of the household, keeps all the other cats in check (and scared)

Iza came from a former friend of the family and was brought to us in a trash-bag
she is the last of her sisters, whom were all put to sleep due to being overly-aggressive

Iza is also rather aggressive, but knows that I am in charge

likes her Xbox360

next:

Chester:

Chester was brought to us by (yet another) friend of the family
he literally stank perfume when we got him
he came from a nice, but stupid family, who treated him more like a doll than a cat:

last but not least: Sötis (literally translates to "Cutie" )

he was a cat, who ran away from his previous owner multiple times, since she treated him very badly

he's been living with the rest of us for about 7 months now and is finally (today) castrated, insured, etc.

(we didn't name him, his last owner did and I don't believe in changing names for pets)
