This whole thing isn't very fair. Some apples are really awesome, like Macouns. Others completely suck, like Red Delicious.
Earlier, I voted for oranges, because Red Delicious' are pretty terrible. However, I really would eat a Macoun over just about any orange variety I have sampled.

Crazy talk.... sliced apple and cottage cheese is one of my favorite snacks.Cheese with apples is just wrong though.
And orange juice gives me heartburn- go apples!

Blueberries ftw! Also, the best apple I ever ate was in Turkey. No clue what variety
