Can you save progress in campaign mode?
I cant speak for the PC version, but in both Xbox versions of the games you cant 'save' but you can select sections of a campaign (Campaign 1, Part 2), It was part of the reason it took me so long to get into these games. To get the achievements you need to finish the campaigns in one sitting.

I've had L4D2 since its launch (it was a gift), but never got too far into the game because of its lack of continuity in the campaign mode. Great game, but like JT wrote, you really don't beat the game, you beat the campaigns.

Yeah, this is much how it is on PC too. I have all of the "survived campaign" achievements now. I just look at each campaign as being like watching a movie. They take about 90 minutes each, so saying I beat every campaign is like the equivalent of watching 6 zombie movies.

Command & Conquer Renegade (PC)
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (PS2)
Red Faction: Guerrilla (PS3)
Way of the Samurai 3 (PS3)

TOTAL: 26

Still reading a lot. Over August I read through 7 books, so I haven't played too many games. I'm gonna spend a lot more time with Way of the Samurai 3 as well, since there are many endings and lots of content to find.

Peggle Deluxe (PC)
Phantasmagoria (PC)
Ninja Gaiden (again, NES)
Contra (again, NES)
Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent (PC)
Half Life 2: Episode 2 (PC)
Half Life 2: Lost Coast (PC)
Gitaroo Man (PS2)
Left 4 Dead 2 (PC)
Call of Duty 4 (PC)

Finally got around to beating CoD4. This game is put together really well, but I find the cover and heal mechanic obnoxious, and since you have to use it all the time, I found myself frequently frustrated with the game. I loved the final escape level though.

I love DoDonpachi, but I was nervous to see how the controls handled on the iPhone. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I am with them! I've played through the game three times now, and can see myself doing so again and again in the future. If you have an iPhone and you love shmups, get this game!

1. Phantasy Star (GBA)
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall Of The Foot Clan (GB)
3. Super Mario Bros. 2 (GBA)
4. OutRun (GBA)
5. Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival (GBA)
6. Mortal Kombat II (GB)
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time (SNES)

Beat Turtles In Time with my wife. I think the first time I've ever beat a co-op game with her. Which was awesome!! This was her second time even playing the game, so this was really great.

And now a special msg from my wife:

Hi everyone, this is noiseredux' wife. I don't mean to brag but two nights in a row I did better than noiseredux at Ninja Turtles. I'm sure you can imagine what a feat this is because it's hard to beat him at any games.

:D
