Scooter wrote:Actually, Sega Touring Car has some date based tracks. When the game came out it had some worldwide events in which a specific track with a specific task came up on your Saturn and you had to try for your best score and post it on their website. You can actually unlock these events through cheat codes instead of resetting your Saturn to the dates upon which they originally fell. But then all you Saturn guys probably know all this already...
Totally forgot about that.

I think Sonic Adventure 1 and Phantasy Star Online had some stuff as well (i.e. an Xmas tree).

Did not know about EA sports games using this either. Then again I dont play EA sports games...
Don't forget Animal Crossing :)
Actually, in one of my previous posts:

But Animal Crossing was a great game to use this feature as well. I only just recently finished with the game. Wish there was a book keeping feature like some saturn games had where you could see how long you have been playing the game.

pc games aren't much better either... the only one i know of is black and white. it would go so far as to display day/night and weather conditions based on your zip code. i agree, more games should integrate this. (hopefully i won't get flamed for mentioning pc gaming in the sega forum  ).

There were a lot of sega conversions to PC, so I think it's alright ;)

IIRC you had to dl themes for sonic adventure and they were date specific. There were christmas and halloween themes. Not sure if anything in the games were date specific.
