Having trouble registering .dll files on Windows 7

Post by Original_Name »

Hey, so I'm registering the necessary files to try out SSF on my computer. Here are the files needed, all of which have been installed to my computer at C:\Windows\System32

D3DX9_43.dll
winaspi32.dll
msvcr70.dll
msvcp70.dll

I've registered .dll files before without trouble. Just go to the start menu, type "cmd" into the search bar, right-click the cmd icon and select "run as administrator", then type "regsvr32 "location of .dll""

But for some reason, my computer is giving me error messages. Here's one of them verbatim:

"The module "C:\Windows\System32\D3DX9_43.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found.

Make sure that "C:\Windows\System32\D3DX9_43.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again."

I've tried downloading these .dll files from different places, but to no avail. What is going on here? Registering .dll files is NOT a difficult process.

Which version of 7 is it?

If I remember correctly the Home and Pro versions of 7 were gimped and designed not to work with any form of non pre-approved modificatiions.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

You have to go into your bios to allow for unsigned drivers and such. Still though don't get your hopes to high for SSF working. After I switched to 7 I was pretty horrified to find nulldc worked but none of the controls did.
