Panasonic Q setup question

Post by HCK »

Just picked up a Panasonic Gamecube at a used hardware store, but it was body only... no remote or controller; but that's OK because I have a waverbird at home.

Plugged it in, and at the boot screen it asks me to set the calendar, but I push all the buttons on the wavebird and nothing happens (yes, the controller and receiver are set to the same channel).

It's been a long time since I owned a cube, so any ideas on what I do next?

Did you put fresh batteries in the controller? The receiver has an LED that lights up whenever you push a button on the controller. Also, is the receiver plugged into the left most socket? Lastly, try using a wired GC controller in case the wavebird is defective.

I'm in Tokyo and paid 1,500 yen, or $17.00.

Try a wired controller, to see if the Q would work.
