I hate emulating I only do it for games that are nearly impossible to acquire its never as good as the real thing and is usually a pain in the ass.

'Couldn't find 031-p1.bin (d396c9cb) for game, ERROR.

My laptop is only 2 years old at most. I'm running Window Vista if that means anything, though I don't see why that'd be the case since all of my other emulators work fine on it. I don't know.

You're making it harder on yourself because you haven't done any other research than come here and claim it's 'still not working'. Have you tried emulation message boards? I'm pretty sure Kawaks has a message board though I've never been there. Also, if you're STILL getting errors, you probably have bad ROMs, or bad zips that don't contain all the files you need for that specific game. You yourself said some of the Neo Geo games are working. That means the emulator is set up correctly and it's pointing to the ROMs. The ones that aren't working are probably bad zips or bad roms. Get different ones.

The directions I gave you are foolproof. That is how you get them to run. There's nothing else you need to do. Sorry if running them how you're supposed to doesn't work for you.

Any questions REALY can be answered by the readme that comes with Winkawaks. You have to have everything names properly and the bios just needs to be in the same folder. I dont know for sure on Neorage, but if you want it all done for you, just get on thepiratebay.com and download the neorage complete set. It is all set up, with all the roms that it can run, and is ready to go. There really is nothing to it.

I personally prefer Winkawaks because it just seems to be more accurate and I like how you can set up controls specific to each game.

I'm pretty sure this is a roms problem.

The emulator only complains when you don't have all the required files in a zip.

Try somewhere else. Try a verified/goodroms set from a decent tracker like Underground-Gamer or BitGamer. If all else fails try pirate-bay.

I've never had much luck with roms downloaded from websites. The only one that I could get any decent roms from was Romhustler. Don't know if that's still around /hosting roms but you could try there.

Have fun.

:D yoo hoo
hi guys
yo
check this out :)
:- i have your solution
download kawaks from this site?_
http://www.kawaks.net/
on the right upper side of the page ,you can see that' - 'download winkawaks latest version'
download it and install all of it's components
now you have it ,
now you need a game, download your favourite neogeo game kawaks from any site but i would recommend the same site ,
and see this carefully------
now you must save the game in the program files of this kawaks software
for example-
i saved my downloaded game to-
'c:\program files x86:\winkawaks:\roms
and remember- save the game in it's downloaded state . do not unzip the game
. once you have saved the .zip game in the above folder .
it can be used in the kawaks emulator

now open kawaks through shortcut on your desktop .
here you will see two tabs click on the 'right' one which says
run kawaks.
click on file and then select load game .
a window comes up
now , you see list of games which don't seems to work
and each time you try to open them they says that 'the following .bin file cannot b found . so
now follow these steps to play those games that you have downloaded
1: on the right side below select only available then click scan for new ,each time u save a game , use this scan button to view the game,
2: now you can select the game that you want to play
then select ok,enjoy the game

3:and the game starts to run .hope you found this useful

Elwood wrote: Oh, and on an unrelated note, I have a question about Sega CD emulation as well. I recently got some Sega CD ISOs, and tried to play them on the KEGA Emulator (Genesis, Gamegear, Master System, 32x, Sega CD multi purpose deal). While most of them worked fine once I set up the BIOs, such as Sonic CD, Snatcher, Lords of Thunder, and a few others, some of them (Popful Mail, Heart of the Alien, Silpheed) froze at the Sega logo screen. Is there any fixable reason that would happen, or is it just a case of a bad ISO?
go to options and tick (choose) perfect sync to play the games which freeze at the SEGA logo in KEGA Fusion
C-64 will never die
- only the players
