wip3outguy7 did an excellent job modding the stream chat and providing some cool tidbits about the Saturn last time we broadcasted. Hope some other Racketboy members will join for this celebration of the Genesis! And of course, if you have any games in particular that you'd like to recommend, let me know. Thanks and best wishes.Hi everyone, this Saturday August 28th at 9 PM US Central Standard Time, I will be hosting my usual "Multi Tap: Classic Console Showcase" live stream and chat (http://www.justin.tv/mugenmidget). However, with the arrival of my new capture device, I can finally stream footage from the Genesis! So I was wondering if there were any particular games you would like to see highlighted during this event.
Master System, 32X, and Sega CD suggestions are also welcome, as they all work together to make the Genesis's library truly awesome.
The focus for my stream is usually on games with multiplayer modes, so I'll be looking to show off some of the unique multiplayer experiences the Genesis can offer. A lot of the games I'll be highlighting I discovered through this very site, whether through the excellent articles or the brilliant suggestion threads on the forums. But if there is some game you'd really like to see, do not hesitate to suggest it even if you feel it is redundant or it lacks multiplayer.
Here's the thread to it at our main forums, if you'd like to check up on what's already been suggested: http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=640
With that out of the way, what games would you guys like to see?

Multi Tap: Classic Console Showcase (Game Streams)
Hi everyone, I'm cross-posting this from Sega 16 because it seems like there is a lot of excellent insight on all things Sega at this forum as well. I'd love to have some of you attend my live stream this Saturday night and liven up the chat with trivia and tips:

Re: Sega Genesis Showcase: Streaming Saturday Night!
No worries, hopefully we can see you in a future stream!
Wipeoutguy didn't make it either, which is too bad because he didn't get to see our awful Contra Hard Corps performance (live at least, our misery is still in the stream archives hahaha)!
A few people from Sega 16, ScrewAttack, and Digital Press showed up. Didn't recognize anyone from Racketboy but if anyone here showed up then let me know I'm wrong.
Not too sure what we'll be doing next time, Mr. Phuui suggested a "Wrestlefest" featuring only wrestling videogames. I made a topic about it over at our main forums if anyone wants to chime in (http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=22), but you can leave your two cents here or drop me a message at [email protected].
Thanks again to everyone who showed up, hope you enjoyed the Sega showcase!

Shit! I forgot about this again last night. Did you guys hold another session? What did you guys play this time? I got caught up in Guardian Heroes (I tend to do that lately).

Re: Sega Genesis Showcase: Streaming Saturday Night!
haha no worries, you didn't miss anything, it was only like 4 people who managed to show up this time so we didn't end up going ahead with the "theme" (wrestling games). I think the theme turned people away.wip3outguy7 wrote:Shit! I forgot about this again last night. Did you guys hold another session? What did you guys play this time? So instead of going through with it we just played some N64 games before cutting the stream short (Pokémon Snap, Duke Nukem 64, and Mario Kart 64 from what I can remember). I let one of the users pick it last time, probably should have got more of a consensus. But we have some other fun ideas that we'll be working on, we might not be doing the regular Saturday thing (or at least no special events) but the stream will return in some capacity.
Oh, and thanks Zeonik Freak for showing up, it was cool to see you! That Cooler movie is pretty sweet, DBZ films are fun to watch. BTW if anyone has random suggestions for themes/improvements or just anything else you'd like to see us do on the stream feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks everyone and take care!

Re: Sega Genesis Showcase: Streaming Saturday Night!
No problem, im glad i remembered.
I do have a question, how were you able to put the Cooler and your N64 games to stream? Id like to figure that out, i have some anime i would want to show other people that i have in my collection, mainly obscure/crazy anime either not many people know about or many people wish never exsisted LOL.
If theres a way to stream that from my laptop or to use a TV tuner that would work too. Also, did you have a mic set up with people in the room or did you have people on skype that you were talking to on the stream? Im just curious is all.

Re: Sega Genesis Showcase: Streaming Saturday Night!
Zeonik, I was using a Dazzle DVC 100. But if you have a TV Tuner you should be good to go, just grab Adobe Flash Media Encoder. There's a good tutorial here on the ins and outs, hope it helps: http://www.justin.tv/p/fme
I did just put a microphone in the middle of the room, thought it would be funny to be able to hear people's reactions during the wrestling games. Sorry that we didn't actually end up playing any.
I do think Skype/Ventrilo would be cool to use some night so people watching remotely could "call in" to the show.
wip3outguy7, I think Dreamcast could make for a fun stream, plenty of multiplayer greatness to scope out. I'd like to get things a bit more prepared so I might not be streaming for a few weeks, I have some ideas but it'll take time and effort to get them developed. I'll try to let everyone know well ahead of time, but feel free to "follow" the channel to get e-mail updates about broadcasts since we might be doing them sporadically.
