I hope they make a sequel. I heard it would be titled, "Blouse."D.D.D. wrote:Jumper. Fun flick. They sure left it open for another one but I guess it wasn't so popular in theaters.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Jumper was a fun little movie. Eagleeye gave me the same vibe, but failed to deliver.

I thought Eagle Eye was alright. I didn't see the previews for either movie so I think I enjoyed them more than seeing a trailer and being disappointed afterward. I love trailers and hate'm at the same...fastbilly1 wrote:Jumper was a fun little movie. Eagleeye gave me the same vibe, but failed to deliver.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I just got back from seeing The Last Airbender.
I'll just say, because it seems appropriate, but it was better than Avatar.
It was pretty bad. I have never seen the television series, though, so I have no malice toward the film related to and butchery of any established canon. It was also better than Percy Jackson, in my opinion. The dialog was remarkably bad. It has been suggested that M. Night Shymalan possibly has not been allowed to speak with any real human beings for the past several years.
I think Mr. Shymalan just really needs to find a Spielberg. He's really George Lucased himself in record time.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Even if you are not into cartoons or anime (as Avatar: The Last Airbender is really influenced by anime), please check out the series the movie is based on. It will make you hate Nights POS even more. You will wonder how a script so perfectly written could be botched so bad, rewritten so terribly. I will never understand why someone feels the need to interject their own "vision" into everything they do. If it is an original film, sure, but why do a remake or a big screen version of an anime/cartoon/video game/comic strip and rewrite the damned thing? Makes me feel these directors are the most arrogant a-holes in existence. At least with a remake you can somewhat justify the changes as making it worthwhile to make a remake in the first place. At least with a comic book/comic strip/video game you can argue that there is not enough source material (maybe not with games) so additional material is needed. We are talking about a series here - changing names of characters essentially designed to appeal to kids and, thus, confusing the hell out of these same kids is a no no. Also, changing the characters, the story, the ending... just not okay and any rational person would not do this, unless they were an arrogant a-hole, I guess.Limewater wrote:I just got back from seeing The Last Airbender.

PS - I am a big fan of the series and hated the movie, in case you couldn't tell.

L'homme du train aka Man on the Train. Another awesome drama about an improbable friendship that forms between two very different individuals. Lots to recommend here, but avoid visiting the IMDb page as spoilers are very evident even in the tagline.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
On Monday, I'm getting the first disc of this box set called "Crypt of Terror: Horror From South of the Border, Volume 1", which is a collection of Mexican horror films.
I've got the whole volume on my Netflix queue.
Each disc has two movies, though disc 4 has two versions of the same movie (the English and Spanish versions of Don't Panic).
Disc one, however, includes Vacation of Terror and Vacation of Terror 2.
Disc 2 contains Hell's Trap and Cemetery of Terror (seen it before), and disc 3 has Grave Robbers and The Demon Rat.
