Altered Beast - Video Review

Post by emwearz »

The much loved pack-in title for the Sega Megadrive (Genesis), is the game able to rise from its grave or is it better left dead.

:(

The review itself is good and well written, but I'd work on the game footage. The footage shows someone always getting their ass handed to them (even on the second stage boss which is unforgivable) and you don't feature the final stage at any point of the review.

Like I said, good review, but I'd tweak the footage.

I recorded roughly 2 hours of me playing, the scenes that are in it, is me playing the game for the first time in years, all my later footage completely went to the shitter (Frames were skipped and it ran in slow mo, no idea why) so 80% of my footage was unusable which I didn't notice until I started editing.

I could have recaptured footage, but to be honest I was so over the game, I just did the best I could, with what I had, I suck at the game anyhow, I always died on the 4th level boss or the start of the the 5th, I couldn't beat it while capturing.

Cheers for being honest.

Somehow fitting that Altered Beast is one of the first two games via the Wii's Virtual Console service. Finally back on his day, the game was tied to the Sega Genesis. Unfortunately, the Genesis version of Altered Beast turned out to be disappointingly low 1,988 original arcade version, which boasted superior graphics and sound.
