Can a C64 Monitor be hooked up to a newer computer? I'm not a tech-kinda person.

Not without hooking it up to TV-out with S-video or with some sort of VGA to RGB convertor if it is a later monitor meant for Amigas. You'd still be limited to TV resolution though.

If you have TV out, you can run that directly into the C64 monitor. Your RF TV and VCR will be of no use unless they have VGA in ports, which they don't.

Well I'm impressed. I've never seen a VCR with a VGA port. If the VCR takes VGA in and outputs composite or S-video you can use that to route video to the commodore monitor.

Commodore 1701-1702 monitors take Composite in the front and S-Video in the back. Need a special cable to go from four pin S-Video to two RCAs for the Chroma and Luma.

The Commodore monitor is a great secondary screen for all the dual player console link-lan type games!
