Something to make the Sega Kid in you happy

Post by Flake »

Proof that the Sega Dreamcast was built for the long haul, no matter what decisions Sega Inc. may have made.

Now the questions I have are what is the market for these games and how does one go about getting their own copies?

...assuming these games are any good.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I checked out the company's website and they have a storefront on eBay where they sell these. They go for about 40-50 bucks.

The system deserves it life. Even though I've only played 3 DC games, I recognize it's potential.

And belive me, it is still alive.
It's doing thinking, and it's still alive.
And when the PS2's dead, it will be still alive.

I love the ongoing support for Dreamcast :) Probably the best console ever! I think the Windows CE base makes it an easy to develop for console and helps keep production going!

Couldn't agree more. I don't particularly care for anything past the 4th generation anymore, but I enjoyed the DC a whole hell of a lot when I used it. I still can, I got my second one(yeah, great technology these discs are) staring me in the face now, but I just don't feel like gaming in the 3rd dimension anymore. Still, I've seen some say they were sorry they dropped $50 on a lot of what the DC had to offer. I dunno, I think I got more moneys worth out of the Crazy Taxi's and House of the Dead 2's than the Skies of Arcadia's(Yeah, I'm a gamer with an internet connection that doesn't like RPG's[anymore]. Let that one sink in). Seems to me like it was the last console that tried to keep the arcade spirit alive. Great console for fighting and shoot em up(well importers after the consoles death anyway) fans....which unfortunately, are a couple of genres I never really got all that into...

This is why I love the Dreamcast. It's the last console with a lot of great arcade style games.
