Neogeo was always the dream console when I was young. I bought an AES last year and started collecting neogeo carts. I owned 12 games rite now, which are:
Fatal fury special
Real bout fatal fury
Kof 94,96,97,98
Snk vs capcom
Top players' golf
Art of fighter 2
Samurai showdown 1,2
World heros 2
(all in jap version as I think jap version had betters cover arts)
There are few games that I have looked for a long time(jap version)
street hoop(jap:dunk dream)
base ball stars 2
if anyone want to sell their copy, please pm me
Also I would also like to have people who own a neogeo share their views in this post.
Owning a neogeo
Re: Owning a neogeo
Welcome to this site. Where are you from, if I can ask?
I HIGHLY recommend Windjammers (JP name: Flying Power Disc). It is my absolute favourite Neo Geo game, with the Metal Slug series and Twinkle Star Sprites being my favorites behind it.

Re: Owning a neogeo
That was an awsome game, I played it on mame, would be great if I can own the original AES version, but is kinda hard to find a copy.
Street hoop and wind jammers are non fighting games that I am dying to get my hands on it for my collection.
I am living in China rite now,is not hard to find AES games like kof ,fatal fury series, but is damn hard to find those not so popular ones. Think ebay is my only way.

Re: Owning a neogeo
The AES was one of my gaming "grails" also. I finally broke down and purchased one this year (back in February/March). Such a sweet system, its just a shame that I wont be playing a few of the more expensive games (over $200 is my limit per game). I've got:
Blue's Journey
Magician Lord
NAM-1975
Sengoku
Ninja Combat
Ghost Pilots
Ghost Pilots is probably my favorite so far, but I've been pleased with all of them. I really need a second controller, but they seem to be quite rare also. I'm probably done purchasing NEOGEO stuff for the year, but next year I hope to grab another controller and 2 more games.
I collect for lots of systems, but the AES is definately one of the funnest to hunt for and play.

I also own a Neo-Geo AES and recently picked up an MVS arcade cabinet. It is a great system to collect for but expensive with many titles. I enjoy many titles such as Metal Slug, King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown, and looking to add some more games such as Magician Lord and Ghost Pilots to my collection.

Re: Owning a neogeo
The popularity of neogeo is increasing in my area now. I have been to quite a few retro game stores now and they said most of their AES carts are sold, they told me a lot of ppl here are looking for the carts now for collection.
I just saw a copy of street hoop on ebay(jap version) for us110,u guys think it is a good deal?
I am not a fan for mvs, as if I really want to play the games, I can use emulators. AES look more like a collectors item for me because of its box art and rarity .
Is good to have people sharing their views on this topic, keep going guys!!

Re: Owning a neogeo
Proud MVS owner here!
I don't have any knowledge of which of these games are on AES, but it's what I've got in my cabinet; and they're all great!
Bust-A-Move
Metal Slug X
Strikers 1945+
Samurai Shodown
Ever think if picking up a MVS to AES converter?

Nah, firstly the convertor will not come cheap. I would rather spend it on a consolized mvs.Secondly, if I really want to play the games, I can always play them on emulators.

That's the route most Neo Geo owners go. Own a Home System first then grab a cab or cmvs...I did
