What do you call a GameCube? GCN or NGC?

I think that NGC is National geographic channel.

Ive nver seen NGC before, ive seen users on racketboy say GCN but i just say GC or Gc

I use GC or GCN to abbreviate Gamecube. :)

I have a lot of names for it: Gamecube, GC, GCN, NGC, The 'Cube, The Little Purple Lunchbox, The Little Graphics Engine That Could, and the Companion Cube.

Nice find. Still it doesn't answer why they chose GCN instead of NGC. As others mentioned, maybe it was already used?
I think it really is to avoid the association with Neo Geo.

They wouldn't release a console called "Super Overload Nintendo Yeah!"

the Purple Cube thing kind of bugs me, cuz it's really more blue isn't it? I mean, even Ninty calls it Indigo. Right?
