What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Okay, maybe the priest with guns not a first in Hot Fuzz, but still really funny how they did it

I LOVED Wolfwood in Trigun. He was the best character

Ok, no guns but what about a kung-fu using priest that kicks zombie ass for the lord?

Peter Jackson used to make cool movies.

Mahakaal (aka "The Monster", though the literal translation is "time of death"), is basically a Bollywood knockoff of the Nightmare on Elm Street series. In it, young people are tormented in their dreams by a demonic figure (who was a practitioner of black magic who sacrificed children to increase his power) who looks a bit like Freddy Krueger (with the burnt skin, which apparently he had when he was alive, and the trademark glove), albeit with long hair and a trenchcoat. Some scenes were obviously ripped straight from the Elm Street movies (like the waterbed scene from part 4). While technically a horror film, it's also got comedic scenes (mostly from a Michael Jackson impersonator who works at the university's canteen), a few musical numbers, and some very jarring music. Overall, pretty good, but I don't think that I'll see it again for a long while now.

And if you plan on watching it, I should tell you that Netflix doesn't have it yet. And that it's sells for about $26 on Amazon, as part of Mondo Macabro's Bollywood Horror Collection Volume 3 (which also includes the film Tahkhana (The Dungeon), as well as cast bios, film info, a Bollywood horror documentary (which also covers Pakistani films), and previews of other Mondo Macabro releases). Oh, and it's in stereo and has a 4:3 ratio (so it's fullscreen), just like Tahkhana.

I also got this from Netflix:

I haven't seen it yet. And aside from the two discs I have right now, I'm putting Season 2 of Star Trek TOS on hold for now. I'm gonna get caught up on my queue. Mostly it's just a long Bollywood binge.

Just watched 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams.

Awesome. Gr8 sequel.

Much funnier and much nastier than the first.

Can't wait for the next one.
