Because I'm pretty sure REPO Man has suggested it before.MrPopo wrote:I can't believe everyone's skipped commenting on this classy example.dsheinem wrote:West Side Story
And here's a video of Batman beating up Superman for you, GamerForLife:

Holy freakin' Cow.. How come, in 25 years, there has never been a Thundercats video game...let alone a beat-em-up arcade game..?????

Re: Beat em ups you'd like to see.... Like GI Joe!
Could go either way, although I imagine a Gunsmith Cats game playing like The Punisher, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs or Alien vs Predator - a beat 'em up with a heavy focus on gunplay.Gamerforlife wrote: EDIT: Question for the7k, I loved Gunsmith Cats, wouldn't it fit more for a shooter than a beat'em up though?
After all, Minnie May rarely actually uses a gun - she'd be more at home with specials that involved throwing bombs all over the place.

There is a Thundercats game(not a beat em up), you just have to toy around with PC emulation. C64 and the like.

Thanks Ack, that's pretty cool, his fighting style in this game works for me. His victory stance looks badass. I would love to see what Capcom would do if they had Batman in a 2d fighter. I think Capcom did a great job capturing the personality of a lot of Marvel characters in their fighting styles and stances. Spider-Man in particular just looks fantastic in Marvel Super Heroes and all of the versus games. Specially compared to some of his other 2D gaming appearances, like Spider-Man:The Video Game in the arcades where he moved around the screen like an overweight old man. And to comment on some other stuff from this thread...
I'd definitely play a Thundercats beat'em up. Good god, that would be sweet
If someone did a West Side story beat'em up I want to see dance specials, like what you see at 1:56 in this video:

I think Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann would make an awesome 3D Beat-Em'-Up [Like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, etc.]; the more insane and ridiculously over-the-top special effects they use, the better. Imagine having this as your Super Move: http://www.livevideo.com/video/3A8CCD5F ... drill.aspx

You know I had totally forgotten about the awesome Gunsmith Cats anime before you mentioned it in this thread. It's actually one I typically forget about when I'm discussing my favorite old school animes with people. I need to go and watch it again. Reminds me, I also need to watch Slayers Revolution now that I think about it. Only Slayers series I haven't seen and I think the episodes are on youtube. Damn, now my mind is in anime mode

I've never read the Gunsmith Cats manga but I've watched the OVA countless times
