Across the Universe. It was a fun movie but they could have done so much more with Beatles music. My favorite part was either Hey Jude or Mr Kite.

Secret Reunion. A S.Korean drama about an unlikely relationship between two hardcore adversaries, depicted in a fast-paced two-hour romp that is quite entertaining from start to finish. Comes highly recommended if you're not too lazy for subtitles.

I just saw Scott Pilgrim, and The Other Guys.
The Other Guys is pretty funny. Not a lot to say, but it is refreshing to see Will Ferral in a decent movie again.

Scott Pilgrim was pretty sweet. I saw it with about nine other people and I am pretty sure that my brother and I are the only ones who actually got all of the jokes and references that they made. My girlfriend also called me a dork for knowing all the references, sound effects and music and all that jazz.

The movie is clearly b-movie material with tons to moan about. But it's better than the sum of its parts

Saw The Expendables, I liked it. I wouldn't call it a great movie though. It's your basic big, dumb, action movie, a total guilty pleasure. I could easily pick it apart for bad dialogue, weak story, weak characterization and character development and for not portraying women well. When I say this is a guy's movie, it really and truly has NOTHING for female viewers to enjoy other than ogling some beefy looking men. There really wasn't a single strong female character in the movie at all, just your tyipcal damsel in distress types

Some of the action sequences were badass though. Jason Statham with his knives and Jet Li just being Jet Li really stood out. What's fun with ensemble movies like this is seeing the comraderie and teamwork. There were a few funny bits that actually worked and I couldn't help but enjoy seeing so many iconic action stars in one movie(despite the strange lack of Seven Seagal or even someone like Jeanne Cloude Van Damme). Mickey Rourke was awesome, probably the only guy in the movie besides maybe Eric Roberts who could actually act worth a damn. It's sort of like that was the only reason he was in the movie, so they could have someone in it who could actually act

I guess I'd call it a good bad movie. Not the sort of movie made to impress movie critics by any stretch of the imagination, but fun

It has impressed critics, and it has had great return viewing ticket sales.

The dialogue was great, I can't see how you would think otherwise. Eric Robert's opening line was phenomenal. It set the tone, set the stage, and set expectations. Then the movie met those expectations. The cgi gore looked superior to RAMBO, and although not as plentiful, it was pretty damned graphic. And Jet Li barely did anything in the movie. Sly was out there DDT'ing dudes.

Is it Stallone's best? I'd say no.

Should it be considered in his top 5 movies? Yup.

I thought a lot of it was bland and some of it just plain cheesy and predictable but there was definitely some clever stuff in there like the scene with Sly and Arnie talking about playing in the jungle and wanting to be president. Also like the bit with Jason Statham and "deflating your other balls". That was funny. But if you want great dialogue, watch something like Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. That movie was awesome

We agree on almost everything, but I don't think you see what we would call replay value. I'll throw rottentomatoes, metacritic and wikipedia out the window and take complete sales and respected critics views instead. Just look at those sites talk backs and you see it's the lcd of people voting the majority of the time.

Jet Li should have had such a larger part as action goes. Not sure if he was happy with his role in the first place.

Eric Roberts was indeed pretty awesome in this movie. You know what's funny? I just realized they couldn't get Chuck Norris for this either. I can see all the internet memes now. Chuck Norris wasn't in The Expendables, because he would have killed everyone himself and stolen the spotlight
