Yeah, I saw some videos of Conan a while back. It caught my interest and Conan certainly deserves a good hack and slash game in his name. I might check it out some timeOctopod wrote:I really enjoyed Conan too and I am also a huge Conan and REH fanFiftyDollarCurse wrote:Seconded, because I love two things: Conan the Barbarian and punching lions in the face until they die.NebachadnezzaR wrote:Conan (360, PS3) a God of War-like hack 'n' slash. Solid gameplay mechanics and great visuals, although not as good as the GoW series it's way better than Dante's Inferno in my opinion, and didn't receive a fraction of that game's marketing campaign. Don't go out of your way to play it, but grab it if you get the chance.

Never got a chance to play Conan.
I remember wanting it when it came out (I'm a huge Frazetta fan, so there was that connection going for it), but I had to wait until I got a PS3. Then, when I got a PS3, it was already old hat and, based on reviews, didn't seem special enough for me to go back and play.
Maybe someday. On the other hand, I've gotta huge backlog that I doubt I'll ever be able to finish...
I also have to wonder how many XBLA Indie Games and PSP Minis we're missing out on. Sure, most of them are garbage, but that's what'll make the gems all the more hidden.

I want to say Deathsmiles because a lot of ppl in the usa will never play it and someday it will be an interesting find!

Re: Current gen hidden gems
Im sure many will disagree with this but i honestly think Halo Wars is a hidden gem. Now i can only speak for the UK but when this game came out heres the scenario:
-New Halo game hype builds
-People buy it
-Download new halo 3 maps
-Realise actual halo wars game isnt FPS
-Trade halo wars in
-Many gamertags with less than 100g in Halo wars
Honestly there are no less than 11 copies at my local GameStation all going for £2.99 and there used to be far far more.
But i actually stuck with it and its a really well made RTS for the console and at the very least the cutscenes make it well worth its retail price let alone its current pre-owned price.

Since Deadly Premonition is coming to the PS3 soon it's about time I took the plunge

So you guys think Asura's Wrath applies? I only played the first chapter.. seems it's good fun in small chunks.

Re: Current gen hidden gems
That one was a pleasant surprise for me. The anime series-like structure, the insanely over the top moments, the weird but fun gameplay, it all came together really well and I had a ton of fun with it. It took me a while to get into it at first, but after that it was cool journey all the way to the end.
One sad aspect of it, though, is that there's a whole chapter, which comprises the real ending, that is absent from the retail disc and was released as dlc. Which sucks. Don't know if there's a newer release with all the content. On the bright side, there was more cool dlc, like boss battles against Street fighter characters, and 2 chapters that play like an anime with QTE's in between.

Asuras Wrath made quite a bit of noise when it came out, especially in those anime communities.Pulsar_t wrote:Since Deadly Premonition is coming to the PS3 soon it's about time I took the plunge![]()

Remembered seeing quite a few commercials for it too.

Isn't there like a DLC ending or something? Or am I thinking of something else?Violent By Design wrote:Asuras Wrath made quite a bit of noise when it came out, especially in those anime communities.Pulsar_t wrote:Since Deadly Premonition is coming to the PS3 soon it's about time I took the plunge![]()

A few XBLA games...
Prismatic Solid - It costs 80 msp and it's one of the best shmups that I've played on the 360
Doritos Crash Course - Once you get past the name, you'll find a HIGHLY addictive "race against the clock game"
Rush'n Attack: Ex-Patriot - I never liked the original Rush'n Attack. But man, this one is really good! I think most people pass over it for Bionic Commando. But I think more should at least download the demo and give it a shot
