Problem disassembling Sega Game Gear.
Does anyone know how to take out the screw in the back of the system? It's round and has notches around it. Does anyone know what kind of screwdriver it takes or would I have to special order one? I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Welcome to gamebit screws.
You'll need a 4.5mm gamebit bit to open that beast.

You need what is called a gamebit my friend. Ebay or Electric Quarter will have them.

Thanks everyone! When I first saw the screw I had no clue what I was looking at. I know I didn't see those in my high school carpentry class!

You can use a plastic pen if you don't want to wait. It's a little janky to use, but it gets things apart. Just melt the tip down, shove it on the screw, let it cool and hope it works.

I think I'll just get the gamebit but if that doesn't work for some reason I'll try the pen.
It'll be "Plan B"

I'll vouch for that! I used it to open my SNES and even my Gamecube back before I was allowed to buy from the confangled contraption known as the InternetCaptainWeasel wrote:You can use a plastic pen if you don't want to wait. EDIT:
Oh yeah! Forgot to mention my Wii too! The triwing that came with my black wii case on Ebay was utter trash. Melting a papermate pen saved me there too
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?
