Cheap MP3 Player
Re: Cheap MP3 Player
On mine I have to push the headphone plug a certain way for it to work, if I don't sound only comes out of one speaker. I never bothered to investigate what's going on but I think the jack is separating from the pcb. I'm not to bothered though, it took about 2 years of heavy use for that to happen.

I'll echo the recommendation for Sansa. I have a Sansa Clip 2GB, but it's the slightly older model that doesn't take SD cards. 2GB is plenty for me. It's small, light, sounds great, has great build quality, and I think I got it for $25 shipped from TigerDirect.SpaceBooger wrote:My old back and white screened iPod Mini just died and I am looking for a new MP3 player, but I don't want to pay iPod prices.
I mainly used my iPod for when I would run outside and maybe for long trips. My car cd player reads MP3 Cds but if the MP3 player was big enough I would probably hook it up... so does anyone know where I could get a good quality/storage MP3 player for cheap?
On a side note, though, I listen to my MP3 player all the time while walking to and from work, but won't wear it while I'm running. It's safer to be able to hear approaching vehicles, cyclists, other runners, etc. I know a lot of people do it, though.
