Buying an import Dreamcast console

I use 26 AWG to 30 AWG single core wire.
Make sure you get a 15-watt iron and some desoldering braid.
You might want to add a switch so you can turn off and on the mod. Some people have said that leaving the wire on all the time kills the DC.

If you are unable to find 30 awg single core kynar wire locally let me know and I'll be more than happy to mail you some.

Ok awesome, thanks for that info. I'll check around philly for the wire and a good 15W iron. I'll let you know if I don't find any wire.
