We know that Street Fighter X Tekken is now a reality, but what about Street Fighter X Mortal Kombat. According to Hector Sanchez, the lead producer at NetherRealms, it's "inevitable."
For those that may not remember, NetherRealms is the developer of the upcoming Mortal Kombat game.
While Sanchez said that game is inevitable, he said it may depend on a few things, such as "the success of Street Fighter X Tekken." He's also not sure how Capcom would like the Fatalities in the game.
"I'm not sure Capcom would be happy with Scorpion ripping Ken's head off," Sanchez said.
Sanchez also admitted that Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon pitched the title to Capcom over 10 years ago, but it never was made.
So, do you think we'll ever see this crossover officially?

It really all depends on the successes of both Street Fighter x Tekken, as well as the upcoming new Mortal Kombat. Street Fighter has had a renewal in interest in the last few years, (if you consider any of it's popularity having waned at all to begin with,) but the Mortal Kombat franchise has universally been viewed as having reached it's peak with either II or 3, due to lackluster ventures in 3D.
Honestly, I feel that if they do make Street Fighter x Mortal Kombat, while it will definitely sell to old fighting heads from the 90's like myself purely based on the interest alone, it's obvious that the MK franchise will have more to gain from it's existence than the Street fighter camp. While I'd personally love to see Scorpion and Ryu tag team against Johnny Cage and Ken, I don't see Capcom putting the Street fighter name on the line for such a gimmick. (Tekken - yes, because hardcore fighting fans still play and compete in Tekken, but Mortal Kombat is not a heavily followed franchise on the tournament circuit.) But, like I said, it all depends on how well the new MK turns out, and how well the first Capcom/Namco crossover does.
Personally, I'd rather see a Capcom vs Aksys crossover. (Ken/Hayato/Dan vs Sol BadGuy/Jin Kisarugi/Bang Shishigami)

I think it was the Mortal Kombat team who asked about Mortal kombat Vs. Street Fighter back in the 90s to Capcom. I think Capcom chicken out on that one, fatality. Why is it called Street fighter X tekken instead of Super Street fighter turbo 4 vs Tekken?
You took too long, now your candy's gone. That's What happens. Bkowwwww. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)
The DC characters in MK vs DC don't have fatalities, don't see how it would be a problem for Street Fighter characters not to have fatalities in a SF vs MK crossover.
Let MK characters have fatalities, and the Street Fighter cast gets to do their Ultra Finishers.. With a system much like BlazBlue uses for their Astral Finishers - when both characters get down to about 1/3 health, MK fighters can pull off a one-time only fatality to end the match if it hits, and Street Fighter characters can end the match with a Hyper Combo Finish..
It can totally be done.. I don't think the fatalities are what would stop this from becoming a reality.
