I'm sure that Jade has attracted *some* people to this game but Assassians Creed became popular in the first place due to its climbing mechanics which are extremely realistic and in some way revolutionary. And also as it was being made by a respectable game studio which became famous without people knowing who Jade Raymond was.

You seem to think that people didn't pay attention to the game and yet many of the games smaller issues(AI, clipping, glitches etc.) were discucessed in the game's previews(over E3). Its not as though people ignored the game's problems or even hyped the game because of Jade. From what I can gather, playing AC for a limited amount of time is generally a blast and this is what game journalists reported when previewing the game. So hence people got excited.

Also can't you say the same thing about Patrice Desilets(the creative director)? Doesn't that counter balance the arguement?

Dude, your being petty unfair here. Especially with that second comic. ><

Also you might be interested to know that Jade will be featuring on this weeks Bonus Round show on Gametrailers.com so they'll probably ask her about the negative game reviews. Figured you might be interested in seeing the response.

Never heard of that guy, so no I can't say the same thing.

I didn't make the comic, so don't get pissed at me. It was just found on Something Awful's forums. And apparently, Ubi is threatening them over it now. I guess that means Jade saw it, :D

Also, I didn't see any sites mentioning the flaws at the last E3. They were just scrambling to talk to her.

I've been agreeing with a lot of Toid's reviews in the past, and wow.

But whatever, Creed is still coming to PC, and then I can confirm everything for myself. As long as the port isn't handled by their moron chinese department, I expect it to be as accurate as splinter cell 1, 3, and sands of time.

Also, this one is by Rev Anthony, and if anyone else listens to the podcasts and the RevRants, you'll surely agree that this dude knows what he's talking about. I've listened since the start and I can't remember ever disagreeing with a single point he's made.

Hmm, most of the previews I'd read talked about this. Infact during an on stage presentation some of these glitches occured which also got people talking as well. But yeah, have a play for yourself and be sure to check out that Bonus Round episode, its meant to be up tommorow, should be at this address.

I don't even want to. I'm so sick of her face at this point. And it's not like they're going to ask her any hard questions. If you wish to know why, refer to previous comic.

I noticed a funny comment on kotaku.

"As a dev (game/level designer for 8 years) I'm offended by a Producer being referred to as an "intricate part of the team".

I can imagine.

I haven't read most of the posts in this topic and I don't really have an opinion on that girl(other than I think she's kind of cute), but I just thought I'd mention(if someone hasn't already)that they've been discussing this game a lot on Penny Arcade. Tyco and Gabe have been addressing the negative reviews and they seem to like the game

I haven't played it, so I've nothing to add but from what I've seen it seems like yet another not so next gen game. Personally, I'd rather see another Prince of Persia game.

Yes, we mentioned it. Gabe only made one direct post about AC, and then IGN foolishly slammed them. Foolishly in that:

A) Gabe wasn't even talking about IGN. He was talking about 1Up's average score.
B) They implied that he does not have a valid opinion because he isn't paid to review games.
C) They seemingly included Tycho in the bashing, when he had nothing to do with it. This spawned this comic.

I've been listening to the IGN podcasts for a while, and I already knew their stupidity, but my jaw had dropped when they sunk this low.

God I hate internet drama.

Moz, is there another D-toid podcast besides Retroforce Go? I listen to that one and Rev's Rants is a part of it. He doesn't always talk about retro stuff though.

Overall, it's a good podcast.

Yes, he is like some omnipotent flawless geek. I'm waiting for the day when he says something that's even slightly false, or simply not in touch with my opinion.

Seriously, he's right about everything.

The other podcast is just PodToid and it sucks honestly. Not because it's not retro, but because the host is a jackoff, and their co-hosts are over the phone on a shitty connection, often overseas which causes massive lag. It's just a boring show.

RetroForce isn't perfect either. They get their information wrong almost once per show, but Rev has yet to be a part of that. Usually one of them will say something totally false, and then the rest of them will hop on board with it and agree without thinking.
