dvd to psp mp4 issues

Post by flojocabron »

hello this is my first time posting. I really like this site and all the cool things in it.

well on to my problem.

I own a fat PSP and I finally figured out how to put movies into it. After many trials and errors I found a free program that converts dvd movies into mp4.

Once I put them on the psp, it seems to play allright, but then after a while, the audio starts to act funny. the sound is off from the images playing. Im not liking that.

I've tried looking online for some solutions and Ive asked one of my buddies from work about it.

On the web it seems that I am not alone in my problem. Other people have experienced the same thing, but I wanted to ask all of you guys and gals here if there is anything that can be done to fix this problem?

Is it a software issue? should I buy an official program or is the freeware stuff good enuf?

is it my computer? maybe it cant handle the conversion process?

or maybe its sony just messing with me?

I appreciate all the help you can give me!

I would suggest using that software, I have converted so many movies using it. I never have trouble with it. The only thing you would have to find on yourself would be a DVD cracker.

My technique for watching DVD's on PSP is a mix of "DVD decrypter" and "PSPVC". I had the audio drift problem as well until I turned on a feature in PSPVC called "force conversion". Then it worked fine.

I would use DVD Shrink first, this way you can easily rip *just* the movie out of the DVD, and shrink it all the way down (if you wish). DVD Shrink will allow you to remove subtitles, directors comments, 5.1 audio, and other features that are completely unnecessary on a PSP. After that, you can compress the video to your likings. Me, personally, I would just compress it as much as it will let you do it.
