Anyone play record of agarest war? It is a pretty good Srpg though not much S, and takes place in 5 generations. Also the special edition is kick ass which is actually why I bought it. You can get it on PSN, Or on disc for 360. (There is a ps3 disc version released in Europe but has problems)

According to VGChartz, Bionic Commando sold less than 500k units. Whilst at its full RRP I would have never recommended it, its bargain bin price tag nowadays is well worth it. The game feels fresh in parts, but the overall experience isn't so. Is it a hidden gem, or just a mismarketed pile of mediocrity?
It completely is a hidden gem. I found it to be an extremely enjoyable single player game from start to finish with a wonderful soundtrack to match, Hell, I haven't even touched the multiplayer and I hear that's where the real fun is at.

Completely overlooked title in my opinoin.
Just finished the game, and my feelings are pretty mixed. The story for one was bonkers and didn't make much sense, almost wannabe MGS imitation. I'm thinking of giving Dark Void a try, once it's cheap enough (Is it?)

Less than 20 dollars. Though it isn't really worth 20.

Dude, it's bionic commando, aside from Hitler's head blowing up there really wasn't much to the plot of the series.

I can understand some gripes from one point this point of view. The game is what you make out of it. Sure, you could go around, swinging and then stopping to shoot somebody, but if you really wanted to take advantage of everything BC had to offer, you were busy zip kicking, tossing, and skeet shooting with your enemies, all at a blistering pace. Every second I had Spence on the ground I felt was a second wasted, which is what I really think the devs were going for as well. It's a game that if played right is gold, if played conventionally is bland.

and yes, wife arm is dumb, but at least the ending climax was pretty bad ass.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

I did all of the above, and enjoyed some sections immensely. Maybe I was expecting too much from the game? I'm not a fan of numbers but if I were to rate it I'd give it 7.5/10.

Btw, there was this funny dialogue before the fight with the Mohole that I'm sure was intentional (an outtake that is triggered by random, presumably)

Joe: There's no way around it, you're just going to have to **** it!
Spencer: My pleasu- ummm...

That is what I paid for it and then I promptly sold it after playing maybe a half an hour. I didn't really give it much of a chance but man that game sucks bad.

Solid gameplay mechanics and great visuals, although not as good as the GoW series it's way better than Dante's Inferno in my opinion, and didn't receive a fraction of that game's marketing campaign. Don't go out of your way to play it, but grab it if you get the chance.
Seconded, because I love two things: Conan the Barbarian and punching lions in the face until they die.

What was wrong with Call of Juarez? Besides the "quick draw" boss battles (godawful. mostly for the extreme loading time after failing 200 times) and the way the HUD totally destroyed the western feel they were going for, I enjoyed the game.

I usually enjoy most games. I enjoyed Two worlds. But Call of Juarez is just... and BIB is even worse. Hell Darkest of days was 10 times better than BIB

But.. why, exactly? Since you brought up Darkest of Days, is it the merciless slaughter of the Native Americans?
