What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

That's what I keep hearing! I gotta see this. I hear there is a frequent use of classic vid music/sound as well...Curious... :P

OK I recently saw the Expendables and Black Dynamite.. The Expendables is mindless fun and my favorite people in it was oddly enough Dolph Lundgren and Jason Statham.. Don't expect a deep movie or anything but the action is good and it is what it is.. Fun 80s style action!

As for Black Dynamite... HILARIOUS!!! From the cheese special effects to the all out overacting.. I mean seriously this could be a remake of the Dolemite series.. Michael Jai White is the man for starring in this and the fight with Richard Nixon at the end was straight up awesome!!

That's why I bought the 2-disc editions w/ both versions. I have all six films.

I watched Kickass today and I smiled when the Scott Pilgrim comic was mentioned in the movie. Reminds me that I need to get around to watching the Scott Pilgrim movie.

Kickass,well....kicked ass!

It was a very smartly done comic book movie. Made fun of comic book movies while at the same time glorifying them. This movie has the sort of smart parody you won't see in a lot of those garbage movies like Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, Date Movie, Vampires Sucks, etc, etc, etc.

Hit Girl was awesome! I know some people disliked seeing such a young person in the role of comic book superhero, but it made sense within the context of the story and it was different and it was funny

Minor spoiler

Watching Hit Girl kick ass in first person view was pretty cool. Obviously, they were trying to mimic first person shooters, but I think it played out more like a light gun game. I think the movie Doom did this too from what I've heard, but I don't know how effectively

I also liked Big Daddy as a sort of Batman/Punisher hybrid. I don't know how close the movie is to the Kickass comic, but I enjoyed it

The Substitute. My inner critic cringed at about a zillion different things, but this is one of my favourite Tom Berenger movies. Glad I found it in the bargain bin when I did!

I just saw Scott Pilgrim, and The Other Guys.
The Other Guys is pretty funny. Not a lot to say, but it is refreshing to see Will Ferral in a decent movie again.

Scott Pilgrim was pretty sweet. I saw it with about nine other people and I am pretty sure that my brother and I are the only ones who actually got all of the jokes and references that they made. My girlfriend also called me a dork for knowing all the references, sound effects and music and all that jazz.

It's been about 10 years since I saw it but I recall liking it... What's cringe-worthy for a bargain bin video??
