Which Gamecube Mario Party game is the best?

I already own Mario Party 4, and while it's fun with friends, I don't really like the mini/ mega mushroom system. I was considering getting one of the other Mario Party Gamecube games, but are any of them better than 4?

Mario Party 1 will of course always be the best, but I don't want to unleash my N64 controllers to that sort of abuse! Where's the VC release!?

7 is the only one I have, or have ever had. So I really can't compare. But I like it.

I have all 8 (N64 1-3, GC 4-7, Wii 8\) of them but played 7 the most. I know the Wii version seems to take longer to play.

One thing I like about 7 is that up to 8 people can play certain mini-games.

If you have the Component cable for the GC, I believe that MP4 is the only one that is not 480p.

Is that the one with the mic? I heard off a friend that it was pretty terrible and didn't work at all! Now I don't know what to think!

7 uses a mic, yes. But so do 6 and 5 I believe. So he could have been talking about another one.

There's one game where you have to say the number 1-9 to shoot at a Boo. It's funny to see my kids say "one" and the bullet goes to "six". Not even close.

oh yeah. Most of the micgames seem to work. But the one where you have to say "fire" to fire the cannon sucks. It's like "fire"..... .................. ...................... .........[cannon fires].
