The Dishwasher 2(Vampire Smile)

Post by Gamerforlife »

I don't know if there's many Dishwasher fans here, but I enjoyed the first one and it has a sequel in the works. I like to think of the Dishwasher games as the 2-d equivalent of Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden games(particularly the original Ninja Gaiden 2 on the 360). The gameplay really feels like those games, but in 2-d, and they're just as difficult, just as fast paced, just as violent and just as cheesy

Though they benefit from a bit more of a heavy metal feel(thanks in large part to the soundtracks)

So with this, Scott Pilgrim,Batman:Brave and the Bold and possibly Shank, it's nice to know 2-d beat'em ups are really and truly not dead. Here's a video:

Other than Dead Samurai, what are the other Dishwasher games? I loved Dead Samurai, and I totally agree with the Ninja Gaiden comparison..

Just Dead Samurai and this upcoming sequel. Sorry if I led you to believe there were others in my first post. When I said "games", I just meant the original and the sequel

Can I just say how cool Dead Samurai's soundtrack was by the way? This track is epic:

And this is one of the catchiest tracks I've ever heard in a game. Sounds like it could make a great intro theme for a martial arts themed cartoon

I started playing yesterday and got two levels beaten

It is EPIC!!!!

This is going to be in the running for best 2d beat'em up I've ever played. Also, while story isn't a big thing in this genre, this game has a very stylish and creative approach to telling it's story. He made this entry a bit more accessible too, which is a good thing. It actually tries to ease new players into things. It still will kick your ass though if you screw around

Signs that you are playing an awesome game

When you go and try to saw a dude in half with a chainsaw and he blocks with his OWN chainsaw! Resulting in a chainsaw lock that you have to win by overpowering him and THEN slicing him in half!
