Can a softmodded xbox play imported games?

Does any one know if its possible to play imported games on a softmodded xbox

If not wopuld copying the disks to the harddrive work?

idiots softmod should let you play any imported game you like on the box, play my imports from hard drive, but should work for burns as well

from what I understand, softmodding is effectively giving the xbox a new bios. I believe the one that everyone uses allows you to play any disc -burned, imported, etc... so long as it's for the xbox, cd, or dvd.

I guess it does, never tried it with games but I did try it with dvds with no problem
