PS3 USB Controller Problems
I'm trying to get some of my USB controllers and controller adapters working on my PS3, since I'm too cheap to buy another Dualshock 3 controller. Most of the controllers I have tried work fine in the XMB, but when I try to use them with a game [the game in Question is Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World], they aren't recognized. I have tried wireless and wired USB controllers, as well as PS2, oXbox, and Gamecube controllers via a USB controller adapter. None have worked in the game, and very few of the controllers used with the adapter work in the XMB. Is there anything I can do to get this working? Is there a setting I have to enable?
Re: PS3 USB Controller Problems
In my past experience...many controllers that work with disc games do not work with downloadable games.
I recommend this though, as it worked with both for me.

Although....you should really just stop being cheap.

Yeah, my USB joystick doesn't work with SPvTW either...

Re: PS3 USB Controller Problems
I wonder if they intentionally locked out USB controllers or something.
Re: PS3 USB Controller Problems
It probably wasn't intentional. It was likely one of the things they forgot to implement because the developers had to rush the game to match the release of the movie.
Can't remember where the site is, but I read an interview with the lead developer where he stated that they had to skip a few things (online co-op was the thing in question) because Ubisoft and Universal was pushing them to have the game out early.
Hopefully this means we'll see a patch soon enough. I get the feeling they'll at least have a patch ready by the time the Xbox 360 version hits on the 25th.
