Great looking Arcade basement, very envious.
Thanks CRT! I'm still thinking about what to do as far as setting up a light gun setup. I'm thinking about just using a modded Xbox and MAME emulating light gun games...

Cave-a-licious.
We can't have basements here in the swamplands of Texas. They'd just soon become underground pools.

Re: My Basement Game Room
Cool stuff dude.
I used to want a house with a basement to turn into a game room then I had a job demoing and refinishing a basement that flooded while the owner was on vacation. The water was so high he had to replace the first floor of the houses floor(that is an odd sentence but whatever). It didn't help that it took 3 days for someone to notice it was flooded. All that from a burst pipe. Everything was ruined, the walls had to come out even the framing. After that a basement game room would give me constant nightmares.
My plan now is to buy a house with an ample backyard and build myself a small arcade back there.

My advice is to stop by estate sales and keep an eye on craigslist, tons of great deals to be found.I Feel Asleep!! wrote:Ditto'd!Pichu wrote:Two words:

I've seen a lot of arcade collectors go this route, just way more overboard, so that's cool. Looks good so far, keep us up to date on the "finishing".
Re: My Basement Game Room
Great collection you got there. Very nice. The Donkey Kong machine is my favorite.
It's funny how this morning I was thinking about making a thread about how people take care of their games with all the flodding around the world. So all the comments made me laugh. I stared thinking about fires, earthquakes and yikes, tornadoes.

Seriously though, I've always dreamed of an entire seperate building for my games. That would just be epic. The only problem is, what would I do when I'm laying in bed just craving a game of Berzerk?

Re: My Basement Game Room
One day I will have my own arcade cab, it is something I have wanted for ages. I love seeing personal arcades because they are always better than the local arcades which is saying alot because I live in a seaside town.
