Games you know no one else has or even heard of...
Re: Games you know no one else has or even heard of...
I'm not sure if any of you have Logical for the gameboy. Probably noiseredux though because he has everything for gameboy -_-. I just found it with my gameboy and its extremely hard and the music is awful. My dad got it because it was a puzzle game.

Kya Dark Lineage is a great game that no one has heard of, as well as Scaler, Malice, Insecticide and Contact.

Does MAME fit the bill? Lots hidden in there.
The Arcade versions: Logic Pro and Logic Pro2.

I've never heard anyone else talk about Dragonseeds:

A cool breeding-fighting game a la Monster Rancher. You get new Dragons at a Clone Lab, train him, watch him grow up, and enter him in tournaments, get more money to get better equipment/items, get more dragons, try to win more tournaments, etc. The game also features a very unique soundtrack. I remember I rented this game from Blockbuster when I was probably 8 or 9, and immediately wanted to return it because I couldn't figure out the controls. When my mom refused to drive back to Blockbuster that day, I gave it another try and decided to actually look at the instruction booklet (the controls aren't actually hard to figure out at all). I've been in love with the game since.

Cubivore... and that's it. I would love to have more obscurities, I just never take the time to look. But Cubivore is amazingly awesome in so many ways, so I'm content for now.
Also, Vib-Ribbon looks neat.

LSD Dream Emulator is a unique concept, but I found it too damn confusing to actually get anywhere (might be lack of LSD on my part?)
but as far as obscure titles go...
wait a minute...
are we talking original games that we own or obscure games in general?
as for games I own, I'd start off with:
Bloodwych - Amiga 500
the first (only?) multiplayer RPG that utilizes split-screen
it's essentially a Dungeon Master clone, but multiplayer and a hell of a lot more fun if you ask me

I'm happy to see this thread again, haha.
I'll add a game I have on GBA called SoundVoyager. Which is almost entirely played by sound. Little to no visuals, a huge amount of levels, and subtle differences in each style of level. It's hard to describe the game, honestly.
It's a really neat game and a lot of fun, so long as you can learn to play gameboy with your eyes closed.

Robo Pit.

I played this game once when I was younger and I was instantly addicted. You get to customize a robot with a ton of different parts, and then you fight other robots in a bunch of different wacky stages. I never heard of this game before playing it and I have never seen it again since. I know its a real game (obviously) but no matter who I talk to, no one has ever heard of it, played it, or seen it.
I've wanted this game for probably about 10 years and I still haven't had any luck finding it in person. For some reason it never crossed my mind to buy it off eBay or Amazon but I suppose I should probably do that.
Sadly the game probably didn't stand up to the test of time but it sure was fun when it came out. I also don't know if I played the first or second one and I can't remember what console I played it on. I think it was a PlayStation though.
